The Pool Pavilion
Our project team worked with the developers, M/I Homes and Johnson Development Services, and Kudela & Weinheimer Landscape Architects to deploy this new Pool Pavilion. The project site required significant attention to detail to ensure the design met all the client's requirements. The planning process included coordination with the community center to preserve the community's aesthetic and provide the flexibility for a space that could serve the neighborhood's needs.
The pavilion will be constructed using structural brick, which combines the allure and strength of fire clay units with larger core holes that can accept reinforcement, allowing the project to be completed in less time, utilizing fewer masons, reducing material cost, and increasing resilience and life safety. The structure will provide three family restrooms, a storage room, and pool equipment space to support the community year-round. Additionally, Sorella will include a resort-style pool, an event lawn, lakeside walking trails, and multiple playgrounds.
